I saw this idea recently when someone bought a friend at work something similar for her Birthday and it was so sweet that I decided to try and make something similar for Miss Frugal for Christmas.
It’s a a Bag of Happiness and it’s filled with little things that are symbolic of what you want them to represent- here’s what’s in the bag I’ve made Miss Frugal….
A plaster to make it better when you hurt (I just used a cute plaster I had in the first aid box)
A heart so you’ll know how loved you are (You could use a loveheart sweet but I just made mine out of a shiny pipe-cleaner)
A rubber to help you erase any mistakes you make
A diamond to remind you never to let anyone dull your beautiful sparkle
Some String to help you hold it together when you need it (I used a ribbon)
A paperclip so you can be organised in everything (I used a mini bulldog clip)
A lucky penny to bring you all the luck in the world (this if from our jar of lucky pennies)
A star to wish your wishes upon (a glow in the dark one from Master Frugal’s bedroom wall)
A kiss for when you need one (I just cut one out of shiny paper)
An elastic band to remind you to bounce back from any setbacks
You can basically use what you want from that list or even add some ideas of your own but when you have everything rounded up together, you can pop it in a little bag like this one….
Or in a box like this one….
I prefer the box to be honest so I’m going to use make a homemade box of happiness rather than a bag of happiness.
How sweet is that?
I’ve even made a little tag explaining what it all represents and I hope that she’ll like opening it up on Christmas morning.
