We’ve had a brilliant day today, which is a relief because at midnight last night I was downstairs with Master Frugal throwing up everywhere. I think he must have just eaten too much chocolate but last night I thought he might have had that stomach bug that’s going around so I was really relieved when he got up this morning right as rain.
As the weather looked OK, we decided to go to Ormesby Hall for the Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon. We had to find nine pictures of Easter eggs around the gardens and the woods.
We found a few other things in the woods like this owl carved out of an old tree trunk.
It was very serious business 😉 Whenever we found an egg we weren’t allowed to get excited or point it out in case anyone else saw us and saw the egg because competitive dad wanted to finish first lol. We really struggled to find the last one though so when the hailstones started I cheated a little asked a very nice lady for some help. She pointed me in the right direction so I gently steered everyone in the direction of the last egg and managed to look surprised when we found the elusive last one.
Despite the fact we had to act like secret agents, or maybe even because of this, we had a brilliant time and although we didn’t finish first (allegations of egg fixing from competitive dad), we did win an Easter Egg each and we even got the kids faces painted when we were done.

I’m trying to motivate myself to do something now we’re home but I really can’t be bothered. Maybe I’ll just have a nice bubble bath and a glass of wine before having an early night.
