Hands up if you take the kids out every December to look at the Christmas lights in your neighbourhood. 🙋♀️ This Christmas Scavenger Hunt is going to make it even more fun this year!
This year, why not turn your annual walk around the neighbourhood to see the Christmas light into a cheeky Christmas Scavenger Hunt with the free printable list?
It’s basically just a list of things you might come across in your walk around the neighbourhood in the weeks running up to Christmas so you can either print one off each or just one for all of you and just see how many you can tick off during your walk. We did this one year a couple of times throughout the month and walked the same route and compared how many extra we could tick off each time we did it.
We used to do things like this all the time when my two were little and I used to find it helped to attach the lists to a clipboard which you can pick up from all sorts of places – the pound shop is great for basics here and you can even spend a bit of time in a craft session customising them for some more Christmas fun. 😉
My two are way too grown up now for any kind of Christmas Scavenger Hunt but I guarantee that they’ll mutiny if we don’t go for at least one Christmas lights walk no matter how old they are. We go for a walk and then come home and make a hot chocolate with marshmallows and squirty cream and fight over what Christmas songs we have playing on Alexa. 😍
It never gets old!
