You only have to look around the supermarket shelves these days to see a huge selection of bath soaks, bath scrubs, bath oils and all manner of body washes and bubbles and if you wanted to, you could spend a fortune on pampering yourself in the bath.
But you don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive products to have a lovely relaxing soak in the bath! In fact, I often make my own lavender and oats bath soak and I have done since I went to a blogging event about four years ago where we were shown how to make it.
I don’t grow lavender in my garden as Master Frugal hates bees and it attracts them but I do have a friend who’s more than happy to provide me with some lovely lavender from her garden in exchange for one of these and there’s also a lavender farm not too far from me that I visit about once a year to stock up.
How to make lavender and oats bath soak….
The lavender and oats bath soak isn’t hard to make at all, you just need to add equal quantities of lavender and oats to one of those little organza bags you can get(£2 for a 100 on Amazon here) and give them a good shake.
Add one of these to your bath and you’ll come out feeling super relaxed and silky smooth. At least that’s the theory, but I don’t think I’ve had a relaxing bath in years seeing as the kids ALWAYS seem to need something vitally important the second my toe hits the water.
What do you put in your bath?
