What with half term last week and the stressful week I’ve had this week I’ve not been around much.
It’s been horrible at work lately as there’ve been loads of rumours flying round about some big announcement that was coming, I usually try not to get caught up in rumours at work as it’s a bit like chinese whispers but this time I just couldn’t help it. Anyway, the announcement was made yesterday and while it does affect a lot of my colleagues, I am completely unaffected which is good for me but obviously the people who are affected are upset which makes me sad too. I’m off today to I’m trying to forget about it for now as I’m sure tomorrow will be another stressful day.
I’ve got loads to blog about so I thought I would have a kind of a round up post today, hope you don’t mind:
I hope you’ve noticed that my blog has a whole new look, I love it and I hope you do too. Obviously, I’m not clever enough to have done it myself, it’s all the ork of the lovely Liz at Violet Posy. If you’re thinking of a bit of a redesign, I really can’t recommend Liz highly enough, she is so fab to work with. Thank you Liz x x
Thank you very much to the lovely, lovely people at Innocentwho took pity on me for not being able to attend their open day recently. They sent me a beautiful strawberry plant and a set of fridge magnets. I’ve seen the pictures and the blog posts from the people who were able to attend and it looks like everyone had a brilliant time and I really hope I can make it next time 😉 I would just like to add that my postman wasn’t as over the moon with the strawberry plant as I was – apparently someone at the sorting office dropped it and must have dislodged the plant slightly which meant it leaked mud all over his other letters, they should’ve been more careful lol.
I’m a bit paranoid about the kids being out in the sun due to their pale skin, which I think is a good thing because I would always prefer to put too much sun tan lotion that too little. I was really pleased when just in time for the heatwave half term, Wilkinsons sent us some sun tan lotion to try out. I usually spend a fortune on sun tan lotion for the kids over the summer so I’ll be honest and say that when I found out Wilkinson’s prices start at just £2.98, I wasn’t expecting it to be brilliant. However, after using it practically every day in the school holidays, I’m now converted and will definitely be buying it again – the fact that it’s cheap has no impact on the quality. The children’s sun tan lotion we used was purple which I thought would go down really well, surprisingly, my two preferred the grown ups white version as they thought they looked a bit like martians with the purple version.
Instead of showing you a picture of the sun tan lotion, I thought I’d show you a picture of it in action. And just for the record, I didn’t come last at crazy golf – I let them win 😉
Finally, look what Mr Frugal bought me, a nice new pink and girly filofax:
So now you’re all caught up with me, I should pop over to Google reader to catch up with you – I could be a while lol….
