I can’t believe we’re halfway through 2020 already and I’ve achieved pretty much none of the goals I set myself at the start of the year.
I know I’m not the only one and that totally get that me and my goals aren’t exactly important in the grand scheme of everything that’s going on in the world right now but I just can’t go on with things the way they are at the moment. I feel like I’m living in limbo waiting for the lockdown to end so I can get on with my life and make the changes I want to make.
But I can’t go on like that for much longer so I’ve decided that even if the world is still a bit crazy, I’m going to start getting myself organised and my life in order again. So here’s what I want to achieve in July…
Slimming World
I gave up Slimming World when the meetings stopped back in March mainly because I couldn’t make the online meetings but also because my work has been fantastic and have provided free food, drink and snacks for us which has been fantastic and saved me a fortune but hasn’t been Slimming World friendly or even healthy eating friendly. There are lots of healthy options to choose from every day but I haven’t made many sensible decisions when it comes to food so I just stopped thinking about Slimming World completely. I’m not beating myself up over it as it’s been a difficult time all around but I do need to get back into it for myself now so from today, I’m back on board.
Fitness
So, I downloaded the couch to 5k app right before lockdown with the plan to start running a little bit but then talked myself out of it by declaring lockdown the wrong time to start something new. I’m going to try again with it. Maybe. 🤣
Meal Planning
I know that I haven’t been amazing at meal planning this last few months! I’ve been eating at work and the kids have been all over the place with their eating habits and we need to get back on track. I’m definitely planning on going back to the kids making tea at least one night a week as that makes life so much easier for me when I’m not getting in from work until 7 pm!
Make some money
I don’t have much time to spare if I’m absolutely honest so I’m going to go easy on myself when it comes to money goals for July. I think I’ll just stick to trying to do some overtime where I can to boost my wages as much as I can. I don’t think I’ll have much time for anything else to be honest.
Blogging
I’m really missing blogging and being part of the whole blogging community so I absolutely want to try and get back on track with that too. I’ve barely managed one post a week for the last three months and even the months before that were a bit of a struggle for me as I had other things on my mind that made me lose focus on blogging. I’m going to try and do three posts a week for July to build me back up and then in August, I might manage to get back to the old blogging me.
I think that’s probably enough goals for now!
Wish me luck.
