This isn’t going to be a whingey whiney post (at least I’m not planning it to be) but I’m struggling a little bit lately to keep on top of everything and I thought it might help to get it down here and come up with some sort of plan to get myself a little more organised which, in turn,Β will hopefully make me feel happier with myself.
These little beauties are the first part of my plan:
It’s a box set of four little notebooks that I bought from Tesco a few weeks ago because they were just too pretty to leave on the shelf and until today, they’ve just been sitting on my kitchen shelf looking pretty (prettier than on the shelf in Tesco though π ).
Today, I’ve given each book a purpose of it’s very own because from tomorrow, at least for a little while, I’m going old style with a pen and paper instead of using my phone and laptop for my notes and to do lists.
I now have a book for my weekly to do list and a book for those random things that I just think about and need to get down on paper before they dissappear from my brain forever. Β I also have a book for my future plans and hopes and other random scribbles.
I know it sounds silly but I hope that just writing things down and being able to see them will make me it easier for me to see what I need to to do and being able to cross them out as I do them will help me feel a bit more organised.
And the second part of my plan is to do with this blog because I also seem to have lost my blogging mojo. Β I’m going to try really hard to get back into it this week because blogging makes me happy and when I’m not doing very well at it, I feel more disorganised than ever.
So, my plan to get myself sorted consists of some pretty notebooks and more blogging.
Win, Win!
I really need to start making notes as I have fabulous ideas and the forget them lol
Buying pretty notebooks is a great place to start! Writing things down really works for me – makes me feel instantly more organised. Good luck!
I have lost my mojo too! When you find it, please post on where it was exactly!
I always make lists but forget to read them lol, im useless, hubby puts his on a screen notesheet so when he opens his computer he sees what he has to do before he forgets x
i only do old style method as you call it, i dont have inspiration when typing but it always works with pen and paper, good luck!
I have to have all my thoughts, lists and plans written done first. The very act of writing it establishes what I'm writing into my brain.I also like to have a diary and a notebook in my bag.You can't always rely on phones and computers and they are great for when a sudden idea comes to mind.
Ah I love books and lists! Without them I can't remember a thing! haha
Oh i love those little notebooks and their inscriptions! Great findings!
Go Cass ..I am so impressed with how much you firt in to your life and you are a fab blogger and I bet you'll be back ont rack in no time at all
Ooh, what gorgeous notebooks, I am super envious! I really hope it helps. It's a crappy feeling when your mojo disappears, but I definitely found that my month offline and lots of time with old fashioned paper and pen was a huge help, got me thinking differently and really noticing and appreciating the small things in life again. Good luck lovely! x
I think it must have run off with mine π here's hoping them come back soon π x
Those notebooks are GORGEOUS! It's so frustrating when the blog bug runs away, but give it a little bit of time and some headspace and he'll come wandering back π
I love notebooks and lists and I too am having a struggle with my mojo so here's to us both!
I am loving those notebooks!! Hope they help to get you back on track!
What gorgeous notebooks. I am the same, I love writing things down with pen and paper, it's more inspiring somehow…and makes me feel better to be able to hold in my hand my thoughts and plans for world domination!! π Good luck, I hope they work…and if all else fails, a nice cup of tea will help π
Oh pretty notebooks are always part of any plan of mine, I have lots of them. Good luck with finding your motivation, I think we all go through these spells and I am sure you will find it again
C'mon mrs, get thee mojo back – that is what my dad would say!
am sure it is en route x
I love those books, I hope they help you out and I'm sure your mojo will be back soon
I hope writing down your thoughts helps you get your mojo back. I find mine comes in fits and starts. x
I always use a pad, as you know I write everything down. I hope your mojo returns soon.
I always have a note pad and pen to hand I always find it easier to work with. I think I would forget everything if I didn't!
oh i know how you feel! losing your motivation totally sucks big time. it will come back eventually though, whether in small bursts or some huge inspiration π
Writing things down is so theraputic, I'm sure it'll help you. Fingers crossed your motivation pops out on page 1
You know, as much as I love technology, I do love to write things out by hand and am surrounded by notebooks and diaries! I hope your motivation returns soon x
I love those notebooks, so pretty! I love writing things down, even if I have all the technology, it still feels better to actually write it by hand xx
Oh I am so with you, mojo totally missing, am hoping BritMums will inspire me blog wise, and the break from routine will do me good too, and I guess you have just given me a good reason to treat myself to some pretty notebooks too! π
Good luck, I hope your lovely note books help with everything π
I love this idea of writing things down, I often do that to help de-clutter my head. Hope that mojo returns soon x
Good on you. I don’t know if you would be interested but there’s a book called “the secret” by Rhonda Bhyrne (I think I spelt the surname wrong) but someone told me about it and its a good read. I try to put it to practice.
It’s probably snuggled up alongside my mojo in the guineapig cage of blogging motivation. I will let you know if I see yours. X
