With Halloween fast approaching, lots of you will be thinking about costumes for the big day!
In past years we’ve dresses as zombies, witches, ghosts, zombie brides, Dracula – even a giant pumpkin! But this year neither of the kids wanted to go for your typical scary Halloween style outfit. Miss Frugal isn’t really bothered about trick or treating this year and isn’t bothered about dressing up at all and as for Master Frugal, he wanted to dress up as a superhero.
The problem is that all the shops are selling the more conventional Halloween costumes so there wasn’t much around for him. Then we were asked by Jokers’ Masquerade if we wanted to try one of their outfits and he spotted their superhero range of costumes.
It took him about half an hour with at least four changes of mind before he chose the one he wanted and when it came, he had it on within about ten seconds.
He chose the deluxe Spiderman costume and I was quite surprised by the quality of the costume when it came as I was expecting something cheaper looking. It’s made out of a good quality materiel and has some great pretend muscles built into it.
He’s worn it loads and it’s doing well so far, even taking into account today’s light sabre battle with a visiting werewolf!
It’s a good size as well and will last us for a little while – good job as Master Frugal has no intention of taking it off anywhere in the near future!
My only criticism of the costume, and many other similar costumes is that they fasten at the back with Velcro. Young children just want the costume on and off so quick that the Velcro can get attached to another part of the costume and click the fabric a little.
Disclosure – We were sent the costume to review and keep.
