I’m the sort of person who enjoys having a goal or target to work towards, especially if there’s a way I can monitor my progress on my way to the end goal. I think that’s why i’m enjoying writing these monthly posts at the start of each month sharing my goals for the month ahead. Today I’m sharing my April goals although they’re not too taxing if I’m honest as I’ve got so much on that just making it to the end of the month without collapsing in a tired heap will do me fine!
April Goals – Personal
My main personal goal for March was to get some balance back in my life and I’m pleased with the way I’ve managed this. I’ve managed a good mix of family, home and blog with lots achieved and lots of time take out for relaxing. I’m doing a little bit of meditation most days thanks to my best Birthday present ever – the Bellabeat Leaf which is also helping motivate me to do lots more walking and be more mindful of how much sleep I’m getting.
My goal for April is to carry on doing the same and to get back into Slimming World when I get back from New York.
April Goals – Home
I didn’t set any house goals last month because I knew that any spare money would be going towards New York and I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself to do too much as jobs around the house are always big ones.
My April home goals are all about my garden which has just had it’s first mow of the year and clearly needs some work! Our vegetable patch at the back of the garden needs a good old weed and re-plant and we have a couple of benches we need to either sturdy up or get rid off as they’re so wobbly that it’s ridiculous! We spent a day last month clearing the rubbish and garden toys that have accumulated out there since last Summer so the hard work is done, it’s just cosmetic stuff now to make the garden a space that we can enjoy spending time in when it gets warm enough.
This photo makes the garden look really tiny doesn’t it? It’s not huge but it’s definitely not as small as it looks in this photo – my vegetable patch at the back looks like it wouldn’t grow enough vegetables to feed us for one meal!!
April Goals – Money
March was all about putting money aside for New York and for Master Frugal’s 12th Birthday but once we get back from New York I want to set up a system with my online banking where I have different pots for different things like I used to in my old bank account.
I did have a great month for saving money last month though which I shared here and I’d like to continue that this month hopefully be spending a few more hours going through some other bits. I have some bits and bobs that I want to try and sell this month so I’ll let you know how I get on with that.
What are your April goals?
