We have had a very Christmassy day today, it was Master Frugal’s nativity play this afternoon and he has been really looking forward to us going to see it as he was playing the Ghost of Christmas Past and has been practicing his lines constantly for weeks.
The performance was by the nursery and reception classes so the children were all 3 and 4 years old, I think the teachers did a fantastic job and they were quite relaxed about the usual waves to the audience and kids leaving the stage to give their moms a hug. I had tears in my eyes from laughing at one point when Mary stood up and said, no shouted “Nana, Where’s me Grandad?”
Master Frugal managed to get on to the stage at the right time and said his lines beautifully, the only problem was – despite me being sat in the front row with my camera at the ready- he said his lines with his back to the audience!
