Mr Frugal has been struggling lately with his Vertigo and our doctor has finally referred him to a specialist to see what can be done to help him. He’s had more attacks lately and it’s starting to affect our lives more than before. Last week he had to ring me at work on his day off to get someone to pick the kids up and take them to school as he was having an attack and while we were on holiday a few weeks ago, he had an attack so bad in the airport that I didn’t think they’d let us on the plane at one point!
Anyway, we got a letter through from our doctors the other day with the telephone number on to call to make his appointment, which he did and managed to get an appointment for the end of October (which is quite quick apparently).
Fast forward to today and I get a telephone call at work from him. This is how our conversation went:
Him: I’m going to have to ring the hospital as they’ve sent me a letter with an appointment on it but it’s for the same date as the one I made over the phone the other day!
Me: Did you really just say that?
Him: Well I can’t be in two different places at once and anyway, why do I need two appointments?
Me: You don’t
Him: Well I’ve been given two. At the same time. In the same place. Oh.
Me: Are we done now?
Him: Yep. Bye.
It somehow escaped him that the letter he was looking at was confirmation of the appointment he made the other day!
Oh No!
