A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to be invited to London Zoo for the day by Vosene and although we were all invited, I decided to leave Master Frugal at home with his dad and just take Miss Frugal for a girly weekend.
The purpose of the Vosene event was to let us know that they are on the hunt to find the Vosene Family of 2011. Basically, each month they are focusing on a different value such as, sharing, belonging, fun, time together and trust and they’re be asking families to upload a photo and up to 100 words on what that means to them. Once uploaded, your family and friends get to vote and then Vosene’s charity partner, the NSPCC will pick a winner who gets a special prize that reflects that value.
April is all about celebrating sharing and this month’s prize is a year’s supply of professional cakes, which would be brilliant. In May it’s
about belonging and the prize is professional photo shoot. The winner of each month goes through to the final to win the grand prize which is an amazing family holiday worth up to £10,000!
If you want to find out more, have a look at their website or follow them on Twitter.
The Vosene event only lasted a few hours and then we had the rest of the weekend to explore and have fun. I won’t bore you with it all but I thought it would be nice to share some of our pictures as it was such a lovely weekend and we had so much fun together.
On the train home, we were both shattered and she turned round to me and thanked me for ‘the best weekend ever’. I asked her what her favourite bit was expecting her to say one of the many fun things we’d done together but oh no, apparently the best thing about the whole weekend was the Justin Bieber snowglobe that she got from Madame Tussauds!
