Every now and again, something happens to remind me of a post I’ve written at some point over the last 10 years or so that I’ve been blogging and I go back and dig out the post to have a quick read. Sometimes, I wish I could share the post all over again with you so I thought once a month I’d do exactly that and share an old post.Today’s post is about the traumas of Summer Holidays gone by but before I start, I should say that the reason I remembered about this post was that I was thinking about how the Summer Holidays have changed now that the kids are that bit older. Five Frugal Things we did this week {23 August 2019}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons. ;-)If you follow me on Instagram then you'll know that we were away on Monday and … [Read more...]
How to help your child become a Confident and Happy Traveller….
The moment I took the photo below was the moment I realised that Miss Frugal was a more confident and happy traveller than I am. Homemade Nandos spicy rice recipe….
This homemade Nandos spicy rice recipe is my secret to recreating a Nandos style fakeaway meal at home for a fraction of the price! With an ever-improving-but-still-fussy-eater like Master Frugal to think about, eating out can sometimes be a bit of a challenge but one place he does love is Nandos. Since the first time we visited as a pre-cinema treat, Nandos has been his favourite place to eat and rather surprisingly, the Nandos spicy rice is his favourite dish on the menu.We enjoy going as a treat but don't go regularly because it can work our quite costly for the four of us … [Read more...]
Review: Eco Thrifty Living Book….
It's not often I do a book review on here but then again, it's not often that a blogger friend writes a book that could have literally been written for me.Eco Thrifty Living is written by Zoe Morrison, who writes a popular blog by the same name. It's a blog that I've read myself for years and have already learned such a lot from so when I found out that Zoe was writing a book, I couldn't wait to read it.Zoe very kindly sent me a copy of her book over to have a read through and I'm so pleased that she did as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know I would when I read the first … [Read more...]
