Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons. ;-)1) Last weekend, I went to see Take That at the Riverside Stadium in … [Read more...]
Upcycled magnetic baking tray memo board….
This magnetic baking tray memo board is my new favourite thing! I made it in about five minutes (if you don’t count the time for the paint and varnish to dry) and it looks so cute on my kitchen shelf. It’s one of the few crafty things that I’ve ever made that looks in reality like it did in my head which is a huge win for me!I treated myself to a couple of new baking trays recently and rather than get rid of my old baking trays, I wanted to see if there was anything else I could do with them. Homemade moustache and beard balm….
This homemade essential oils moustache and beard balm is a perfect gift for Father's Day, obviously presuming the Dad in your life had a moustache or a beard! ;-)Mr Frugal decided a little while ago that he wanted to grow a cheeky beard and I'm not going to lie, we all hated it! He's most definitely not a beard person but it took him a little while to realise what we already knew and shave it off. ;-)In the three weeks that he was growing it, he not only struggled to keep it looking tidy which was necessary for his work but he also found it to be quite itchy at times as he … [Read more...]
