This super-easy funfetti mug cake is so easy to make that you can literally be sat at your table eating it less than five minutes after you've decided you need a cake fix!Miss Frugal's developed a bit of a love for mug cakes - mainly because she's quite impatient and most definitely doesn't like to share her cake! She likes something that she can make for herself quickly and that she can take upstairs with her to enjoy while she's watching Netflix! Mug cakes definitely fit the bill as there's no weighing involved (she uses tablespoons and teaspoons as her … [Read more...]
My Weight Loss Journey – Week 7 {9 March 2019}….
Progress is slow at the moment but I'm still feeling good as any progress is progress, right?I've got nothing too interesting to report this week but seeing as I never got time to write up last week's success I thought I'd do a bit of a two in one post! You might remember that week 5 was the week I was on holiday in New York eating my way through all the delights that New York has to offer whilst walking a million miles every day. I put on 2lb that week which was a mini-miracle in itself so I started week six feeling super determined to get rid of that 2lb straight … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things we did this week {8 March 2019}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. A while ago now, I shared my first attempt at making soap with you. My lovely Honey and Oatmeal Soap was so lovely that I decided to have a go at making a coconut soap because as the weather gets warmer, coconut is definitely one of my favourite scents.I always thought that making your own soap was quite a long process and I'm petty sure that the traditional way involves something that requires gloves and a facemask which put me off having a go myself so I've never looked into it too much. But then I discovered something called 'Melt and Pour Soap Base' which is amazing and … [Read more...]
7 of the best plants to grow with kids….
Today I wanted to share with you some of the best plants to grow with kids!Gardening definitely isn't my passion but it is something that I've been enjoying more and more over the last year or so. I find it really fulfilling to watch something I've planted grow from scratch and then to be able to serve it for my family to eat and I have quite grand plans for my garden now that the kids no longer use the garden as a playground. As I learn about what grows well in what conditions and what's never going to flourish in our garden no matter what I do, I wish that I'd done more with the … [Read more...]
