This week is going to be one of the busiest weeks we've had in a long time which is really saying something considering how mad our lives have been recently. In the past, I might have been tempted to not bother with a meal plan and just wing it but that never works well for me (or my bank balance) so I'm going for a meal plan with a difference this week.Every day this week, I'll be getting in from work about half-past four and every single day, I'll be going back out again at some point as I have pretty much everything from a parents night to a works do and from a football match to a spa … [Read more...]
How to up your #Shelfie game….
If you follow me on Instagram then you'll probably already know how much I love a good bunch of bargain flowers and at least once a week I stalk the reduced section of our local supermarkets to see if I can find a good deal. If you time it right, you can get some gorgeous flowers that will look fab for a good week for just a pound or two.I often see some great reductions on houseplants too but I've always avoided them in the past because I don't have the best record with managing to keep houseplants alive! But last year, I couldn't resist this little guy for £1.50 so I popped him in my … [Read more...]
10 Rock Painting Ideas…
I have a plan to paint some pretty rocks and write the names of the things I plant in my greenhouse and around the garden on them so when I had a few minutes earlier in the week, I thought I'd have a little look through Pinterest to find out the best way to go about it. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons - we're frugal so we can afford to do nice things together.1) I just had to call British Airways about my … [Read more...]

October in my garden….
I know it's completely the wrong time of year but last weekend, I sat and made a bit of a plan for what I want my garden to look like and how I want it to be more than just a place to sit and enjoy the sun!I thought it might be nice to try and document the progress I make out there by sharing a bit of an update every now and again so today, I'm sharing what my plan is and what the garden looks like right now!For years, our garden was just an outdoor playground with a 12 ft trampoline, numerous bats, balls and rackets and just about every garden game going. We could (and did) spend … [Read more...]
