Today I'm sharing my new favourite recipe - Garlic roasted cherry tomatoes!I briefly mentioned in last Friday's Five Frugal Things post that I was going to share this recipe for garlic roasted cherry tomatoes with you today and I actually had two emails over the weekend asking for a sneak peek which was lovely and I was happy to share as the recipe was needed for a batch cooking session and a BBQ so today would have obviously been a bit late for both ladies. ;-)I think I said in my post that the tasty garlic roasted cherry tomatoes would be great on a pizza, amazing stirred through … [Read more...]
That was…. June!
At the end of the year last year I decided that it would be a nice idea to do a bit of a round-up of what we'd been up to at the end of every month. I managed the first few months with no problem but I missed April and May after losing my Dad and another much-loved family member. We spent that time coming together as a family and trying to get over our losses and if I'm honest, we (especially me) were a little bit broken and at times, just getting through the days felt like a huge achievement. How we’ll be mortgage free (at least) 11 years ahead of schedule….
Last month I told you all about our debt free journey - from how we built up our debt to how we finally paid it all off. Today, I want to tell you a little about our plan to pay off our mortgage 11 years ahead of schedule so we're not only debt free ut mortgage free too. When we bought our current house, we were still in our not-very-sensible with money stage so we chose to pay less each month over a longer term. I know, worst decision ever!We could have afforded the extra payment each month as we'd deliberately chosen a smaller house than we could have had because we wanted to be … [Read more...]
