Today I'm sharing the next post in my 'What we ate in a week' series! The plan with these posts is that I start writing this post the Monday before you read it each month and just update it each night with a photo of what we had for our tea that day. SundayJust me for the whole day today as everyone else was in Ipswich watching the Boro match and the weather was so nice outside that lunch was actually just a cornetto. ;-) For tea, I had some Birds Eye tomato and basil fish inspirations which I'd bought as they were on offer when I went shopping last week but although they were … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {25 May 2018}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, I do want to say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. Why I’m off to San Fransisco next weekend….
In just 11 short days, I'm heading off to San Fransisco and today, I thought I'd take a bit of time to tell you why I was going and what it means for me personally.I got an email from Pinterest themselves a few weeks ago inviting me to Pinterest HQ in San Fransisco for a day which was super exciting and there may have been squeals when I first read it.The more I thought about it though, the more I realised that it wasn't going to be possible for me seeing as I live on the other side of the world. Value vs Premium: Morrisons….
One of the easiest ways to save on your food shopping is to switch from premium brands to a shop's own brand so I thought I'd do a couple of posts comparing a few of the value products from the shops we all shop at. I hope to prove, with a few blind taste tests, that value products are as tasty as their more premium counterparts.Today, I'm going to look at Strawberry Jam and Lemon Curd and compare products in Morrisons new value range to some of the more premium brands they also sell. Value vs Premium - Lemon CurdMorrisons Savers Lemon Curd (28p per jar) VS Tiptree Lemon Curd … [Read more...]
