Today I'm going to tell you exactly why I don't think you should give your children a piggy bank if you want to encourage them to save!I should say before I start that all children are different and this is my opinion based on my experience of my two who are great little savers. ;-)Both of my children are brilliant at saving, Miss Frugal especially although I think that's more because she's older and gets more money each month, therefore has more money to save. When we booked to go to New York, she saved more money than I managed to with a combination of pocketmoney, babysitting … [Read more...]
Pinterest made Easy: an e-course to help bloggers master Pinterest….
I'm a little bit nervous today about sharing my Pinterest made Easy e-course with you so I might need someone to hold my hand and maybe give me an 'I've been brave today' sticker!Today I'm launching my brand new e-course - Pinterest Made Easy!I've wanted to write this course for a little while now but really, I've been a bit scared to because there are already quite a few Pinterest courses on the market and some of them are pretty expensive. In my eyes, there's no way that anything I can tell you about Pinterest would justify a price tag of £100+ so I just didn't bother and I … [Read more...]
The Festival of Thrift 2017
Every year for the past four or five years we've visited the brilliant Festival of Thrift. Here's what we thought of this year's festival....The Festival of Thrift has been held every year for the last four or five years and I've been going since the second year it was held so it feels like a bit of an annual event now. Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {29th September 2017}….
1) This week we've been really trying to focus on No Spend Days and we've managed 3 since Sunday which is great for us - it would have been more but we had an unexpected school trip to pay for and I wanted to buy some flowers this morning as it would have been my brother's Birthday today. Tomorrow won't be a no spend day as I need to pop to the shop to get some things for our holiday next week but 3 out of 7 will do me for this week.If you want to focus on No Spend Days then I have a little no spend tracker you might like to use here.2) I've topped up my Kindle with free books … [Read more...]
