1) Last weekend when it was ridiculously hot I bought some cheap reduced price lemons and lovely Miss Frugal made me some homemade lemonade as she knows how much I enjoy her lemonade. She usually makes mint lemonade but we didn't have any mint so she just made it plain and it was so refreshing. Not sure it was worth the clean up in the kitchen that she left me though! Also, you can tell she's grown up with me blogging as she made the lemonade, took a photo of it worthy of Instagram and remembered to tell me what she used to make it! Then she told me I owed her £5 which is our … [Read more...]
Easyjet Vs British Airways….
I'm all for saving money when we travel but I must admit that I was very reluctant to book a trip with Easyjet because I've heard such bad reports about them in the past. In the end we booked through them for our trip to Milan because the price was literally unbeatable.I was very pleasantly surprised with our Easyjet experience and having traveled with British Airways recently, I thought I'd share my experience with you so you can decide whether to book your flights with Easyjet who are known as a 'budget' airline or their more premium competitors, British Airways. Cost First of all, … [Read more...]
#FamilyMadeSimple….
When I was growing up, I dreamed about a big white wedding to the man of my dreams and then settling down to family life with two children (a boy and a girl obviously) and a dog. We'd have weekly visits from the grandparents and huge family gatherings where everyone would gather round and enjoy each others company. And seeing as I'm sharing my childhood dreams with you I might as well tell you that the skies were always blue and the birds were always singing - I'm pretty sure there was a rainbow around most of the time too. ;-)Life didn't turn out that way though.I got the husband, … [Read more...]

It's Saturday morning which means it's time for the fourth post in my 'How to Make Money' series.I do hope you're enjoying the ideas that I've been sharing and that you've enjoyed reading my fellow UK Money Bloggers experiences, I know I've learned a lot personally from them and I think it's better for you guys that I ask others to share their real life experiences instead of me just googling the information to share with you. ;-)This week's post is all about how to make money from mystery shopping which is something that I have done personally but not for a few years so I've asked … [Read more...]
10 Last Minute Fathers Day gifts for under £10….
I'm not going to lie, Fathers Day has been the furthest thing from my mind this week and in typical me fashion, I now have one day to sort a present. I also have two uncooperative children who have other plans for today meaning that a homemade gift is out of the question unless I make it myself and that's kind of not the point is it?So, while they're both out and about today I've asked them to get their Dad something they know he'll like to present to him tomorrow. This could turn out disastrously wrong or it could be quite sweet but I'll let you know either way.We don't really go … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {16th June 2017}….
1) Last weekend poor little Buddy was scratching himself a lot and was clearly uncomfortable so I called the vets in town and got an appointment for him to see what was going on. Our vets charge £29 for an appointment plus extra for any necessary medication so when I found out he had a bacterial infection that was going to need steroids and antibiotics as well as at least one follow up appointment I knew I was looking at an expensive bill. The receptionist mentioned a monthly care plan that I could take for him which would give me unlimited appointments for free along with free worming and … [Read more...]
