Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {26th May 2017}….
1) We're away on holiday to Milan next week (biggest bargain break ever) and I've been saving for our holiday spends. This week I've cashed in my loose change vases that I keep on the kitchen window sill (£18), my holiday savings jar where I save notes and try really really hard not to raid it on a regular basis (£125) and emptied my holiday savings bank account for the rest of my spending money. I've said lots of times that I want to travel as much as possible this year and the trips we've booked have been great value but its the spends that can break the budget so I'm trying really hard to … [Read more...]
The moment you realise they no longer need you!
There's been a few changes in our house over the last few weeks and I'm sat here in the back garden typing this reflecting on the changes with mixed feelings. The first change is that I've changed my hours at work and in the near future I'm planning to go from part time back to full time. In theory, because we've had our Yorkshire Puddings before … [Read more...]

Calming essential oils sleep spray….
I've mentioned my homemade essential oils sleep spray a few times now and today, I'm finally getting around to sharing it with you so you can make your own if you want to have a go.It's a calming blend of lavender and cedarwood essential oils an it's so cheap to make as I bought my essential oils from the chemist near us for a couple of pounds each and it feels like I've hardly used any out of them yet despite me making this sleep spray a good few times now.I first started making it when I went back to work in January as I was having trouble switching off on a night which meant that … [Read more...]
