I'm absolutely not going to get all morbid here but something's happened lately that's reinforced my belief that life really is too short and that you never know what's going to happen from one day to the next. I'm not going to go into detail about what's happened as it's not really my story to tell but needless to say, it's made me think about life in general and all of the things that I want to do while I can.Because I love an excuse for a good list, I've spent some time writing down everything that popped into my head when I thought about the things I'd like to experience. It's an odd … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {7th April 2017}….
By the time you read this I'll be in New York with Miss Frugal enjoying (hopefully) our long awaited holiday so it's probably not going to come as a huge surprise that today's post is New York themed with each of my five frugal things having something to do with our trip.1) First up we have toiletries! Miss Frugal wanted to go and buy some of the cute little travel sized bottles of everything from deodorant to hair spray and from shampoo to toothpaste but they seemed very expensive compared to their larger sized versions. To give you an idea of what I mean, Sure deodorant is £1.20 for a … [Read more...]
DIY Freezer Smoothie Packs {And six of our favourite Smoothie Recipes}….
Last week I briefly shared my DIY freezer smoothie packs in my 5 Frugal Things post but I wanted to tell you a bit more about the smoothie packs today because I've seen similar things popping up in shops more and more lately and mine are a LOT cheaper! We all have smoothies regularly, especially for breakfast when we're in a rush, but fresh fruit definitely makes them an expensive option if we're not organised with our little smoothie packs which we make in bulk every now and again. I got as far as making this little blog graphic to go with the post before something dawned on me....I realised that there … [Read more...]

My April Goals….
I'm the sort of person who enjoys having a goal or target to work towards, especially if there's a way I can monitor my progress on my way to the end goal. I think that's why i'm enjoying writing these monthly posts at the start of each month sharing my goals for the month ahead. Today I'm sharing my April goals although they're not too taxing if I'm honest as I've got so much on that just making it to the end of the month without collapsing in a tired heap will do me fine! April Goals - Personal My main personal goal for March was to get some balance back in my life and I'm pleased with … [Read more...]
