Over the years we've had all sorts of different advent calendars from the usual chocolate kind to the more exciting Lego or beauty calendars but this year I wanted to try a bit of an alternative advent calendar.I wanted to make an advent calendar that was all about experiences rather than things, just like we tried to do with Christmas last year where we gave the kids a mix of actual presents and presents that involved an experience of some kind. Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve done this week {4th November 2016}….
1) This first one is a total cheat as I did it ages ago but I never told you so I'm going to tell you about it today. When I found out I was going to need an operation I bought a three months pre-paid prescription certificate because I had a good few weeks to wait to see the specialist, then there was the wait for the operation itself and then the recovery period.
