We went camping a few years ago and had an amazing weekend - we barbecued, played family rounders, had a couple of great trips out, had water fights and in general, had some good old fashioned family fun. Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. We now have a mini herb garden - actually it's more of a pot but it's in the garden and it has three different herbs in it so we're calling it a garden. ;-)I think I've said before that we're not great with the actual growing of plants so when we saw that Morrisons had their herb plants on offer we bought Mint, Rosemary and Chives. Now we just have to keep them alive long enough to benefit from our £3 investment!2. Divine Chocolate Fudge Cake Pudding….
Chocolate Fudge Cake Pudding130g plain flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 135 sugar 6 tbsp cocoa 120ml milk 2 tbsp melted butter 1 tsp vanilla essence 135g soft brown sugarMix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons of the cocoa powder. Add in the milk, melted butter and vanilla. Mix it until it’s smooth and then pour into a lightly greased baking dish.
