Last month I shared my top tips on how to avoid odd socks. Not the most exciting of topics to blog about admittedly but fairly necessary after the mysterious sock fairy visited us again and left yet more odd socks to add to our ever-growing collection! My best tip was definitely to buy multi-packs of identical socks because if you buy a multi-pack of seven pairs of exactly the same sock, each sock has 13 potential buddies not just the one! This means that if we do happen to lose one (or three) then it's no biggie as there's plenty of others to take its place. But odd socks or even … [Read more...]
You don’t always have to be Nigella in the kitchen….
As much as I love reading foodie blogs, they do sometimes make me feel a little bit inadequate with their delicious sounding recipes accompanied by photos that look like a professional photographer took them.My recipes are more practical than creative and if I want a nice stylish foodie shot of what we're having for tea it usually takes me so long to get a shot that I like that the meal everyone else is half way through theirs before I sit down.As much as I enjoy cooking, I don't always have too much time so I do use the odd packet mix and the occasional jar of sauce. I also believe … [Read more...]

I don't mean the junk mail you receive through the post … [Read more...]
How to get the best deals on Amazon….

As annoying as this can be though, it does mean that you can get some great deals if you are on the ball. This year, I've discovered a site called CamelCamelCamel which has helped me find … [Read more...]
