Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) You know how I always say that I buy at least one Christmas present a year using my Boots Advantage Points? Well, this is one of the ways I bump up my points balances...A couple of times a year, I get a little letter from Boots with a stack of vouchers giving me extra points for various bits and bobs. I won't buy something for the sake of … [Read more...]
What I made in a weekend selling on Vinted….
I know I'm always telling you how to sell on Vinted but today, I thought I'd go one step further and share how I made money selling on Vinted last weekend to encourage you to give it a try!I say this in every month's pre-loved bargains post (and probably at least half of my five frugal things posts) but I have a one in, one out policy when it comes to clothes and shoes so if I buy something to add to my wardrobe then I choose something else to sell on Vinted or add something to the pile to donate to the charity shop near where I live. That's pretty much the only way I can … [Read more...]
Spicy Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup….
You're going to love this Spicy Sweet Potato and Carrot soup - especially if your sky is looking as grey right now as the sky outside my window is!After the success of my carrot and parsnip soup a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd have a play about with some other flavour combinations and I decided to go for carrot and sweet potato but with an added kick of chilli to really spice it up. It really works well together and is not only souper (I can't help myself 😂 ) warming and filling on a cold day, it's also good for you with the added benefit of being syn free … [Read more...]

To be fair though, you absolutely could do that if you wanted to but that's really not going to benefit anyone, is it?The idea of a … [Read more...]
Hot Cross Bun Bread and Butter Pudding….
If you have leftover hot cross buns to use up then this hot cross bun bread and butter pudding is exactly what you need! I first made a variation of this hot cross bun bread and butter pudding recipe last year when Master Frugal had his Food Tech exams to practice for and was trying to master the custard part of his dish. I had four leftover hot cross buns to use up and seeing as he had his custard mix ready to go, I sliced up the hot cross buns and used them instead of bread! It was so nice that we bought a pack of hot cross buns that weekend just to make this with and that's not … [Read more...]
