2012 was a great year for us as a family and I hope that 2013 will be even better.Everyone has their own reasons for living frugally and I know I've said this before (lots of times) but one of our reasons is so that we can afford to do more fun things as a family. Chocolate Gingerbread Christmas trees….

Our Christmas Eve Traditions….
In case you haven't already guessed - I love Christmas!I think I'm a bit odd though as I look forward to Christmas Eve more than the big day itself. I'm not sure if it's the anticipation for the day ahead or if it's just because we have a set routine on Christmas Eve that I love and look forward to.We get up when we get up and have home made pancakes for breakfast followed by a trip to the cinema usually to see a Christmassy film. A not very Christmassy ranty post….
Both of my children have beautiful red hair....They've always loved the colour of their hair and to my knowledge, until this week nothing negative has ever really been said to them about their hair colour. Just the opposite in fact, they often get stopped by people who tell them how lovely it is.We've had a few incidents like this and this - but I don't really think they're the same as they weren't outright nasty comments made to their faces like we've experienced this week.I took them into town as I had a problem with my mobile phone and had to spend over an hour in the shop … [Read more...]
Family friendly frugal meals – Fishy pasta bake….
This week is my favourite week of the year - we always have lots planned and everything just seems more exciting because we know that Christmas is so close.
