I have a Moshi Monster related dilemma but it's not what you'd think - I'm not about to ask you what you think about letting children on Moshi Monsters (an online game where children adopt and care for a monster) as that ship's already sailed. Miss Frugal's been playing on there for more than a year now and Master Frugal has just set up his own little monster so he can play online too.My dilemma is actually about those little collectable Moshi Monster collectable figures you can buy - the ones that are £1.99 for a pack of two but you don't know which ones you're getting until you've … [Read more...]
Growing up is hard (and expensive)….
It's not easy this parenting lark is it?Not so long ago, birthday parties for Miss Frugal and her friends consisted of an hour at soft play followed by some jelly and ice cream but now at the grand old age of nine, those days seem to be long gone. The gifts were really impressive (to me anyway) - matching his and hers Armani watches, a Tissot watch, a Radley Cheadle bag and a Links of London Sweetie bracelet among other things.I decided to go for the … [Read more...]
How to make a wall planner for your meal plans….
I know, I've gone a bit meal planning mental this week but I promise this is the last post on the subject (for at least the rest of the week anyway).Usually, I have our week's meals written on a scrap of paper, stuck on the front of the fridge if I'm feeling particularly organised, somewhere at the bottom of my handbag if I'm not! This led to us not sticking to the plan on lots of a few times as we couldn't remember what we were supposed to be eating so as part of my New Years resolution to be more organised, I decided that from now on we're going to have the meal plan where everyone can … [Read more...]
