Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) Have you ever read my post about how to be financially resilient? Probably not I know but basically, I shared some of the things I do to try and plan for emergencies and one of the things is the boiler cover I pay for through British Gas. I've written about this in more detail yesterday but basically, my boiler broke down last Friday night and … [Read more...]
British Gas HomeCare Cover – my experience….
British Gas HomeCare has saved me from potential frostbite twice now so I thought I'd tell you a little bit about why I love them but.... Before I start, I am NOT working with British Gas at all on this post (although I have just added in my refer a friend link just in case you do decide to sign up with them). 😇I pay for my British Gas HomeCare cover myself and have done now for a good few years - in fact, I first wrote about them in 2015 when they saved Christmas for us after we woke up on Christmas morning to find we had no heating. Christmas in New York – Insta vs Reality….
The year before last, I spent the week before Christmas in New York with Miss Frugal and had the best time! The reality was a bit different from the dream though so I thought I'd share the reality behind some of my photos. Hey! 👐1) I've made a batch of candy cane spoons using some crushed candy canes ready for the kids Christmas Eve boxes this year. I have some cellophane bags that I'll pop them in ready to pop in the boxes with the usual snowman soup and reindeer dust because you're never too old for Christmas traditions like that. This batch didn't turn out as … [Read more...]
