Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐I think today's round up kind of sums up life at the moment for me - I'm still really focused on saving money where I can (even more so than ever at the moment to be fair) but I do have more spare money in my budget so right now, it's less about spending as little as possible on everything and more making sure I get a good deal for everything I do … [Read more...]

My Kindle Unlimited Subscription is one of the best things I've ever signed up for and I keep saying I'm going to dedicate a whole post to it and today, I'm finally getting around to it!Every now and again, in one of my weekly five frugal things posts or on Instagram, I share how I've filled my Kindle up with a stack of new books and every time, I get at least a couple of emails or DMs asking me how it works so much so I'm going to pop everything into this post so I can just share the link to that. I'm all about working smarter and not harder at the minute! … [Read more...]
Super Easy Black Cherry Cobbler Recipe….
This super easy black cherry cobbler is an amazing variation of my fruit cobbler recipe! Trust me, you're going to LOVE it!We love a good old fruit cobbler here, mostly because there's no better comfort food for a lazy Sunday afternoon (or any afternoon for that matter) than a hot fruit cobbler with custard. We also love it because it's so easy to make and our version doesn't even involve weighing out ingredients because we just use cups to measure out our ingredients. I first shared our love of cobbler back in 2009! At that point, I hadn't really ventured away from … [Read more...]
Teen Budget Tracker….
This Teen Budget Tracker is exactly what you need to help your teen learn to manage their money better!I absolutely love this printable Teen Budget Tracker because I know how effective it's going to be to help teens (mine and yours) to learn to manage their own money which is something I'm quite passionate about. I know that there should be more financial education in schools because there's absolutely not enough done there to help prepare our children for when they leave home and have to suddenly manage their own (often limited) finances. But I do also feel that no-one … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) So, this week I put my name down on the waiting list for an allotment plot near where I live. I imagine it will be 2037 or something before I get to the top of the list but I've done it and hopefully, one day I'll be a proud allotment keeper. For now, I'll have to stick to my little greenhouse.I don't think I'll ever be a super mad … [Read more...]
How to get an NUS Card 2021 (and why you need one)….
This week, we've been applying for the kids' NUS cards which is now called TOTUM membership. It was pretty easy to do so I thought I'd share how to get an NUS card if your children are at college or uni age like my two are now. When Miss Frugal first started college, the first thing she did was get her NUS card so she could start to benefit from all the discounts that are available and over the last couple of years, she's probably saved a fortune. Shops like New Look and Topshop were here favourite places to shop so the 10% off that they gave her was super welcome. The NUS card has … [Read more...]
