Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) Have I ever shown you my breadcrumb bag? (Any yes, I realise that the fact I have a bag in the freezer that I call my breadcrumb bag makes me super sad).I have a cute little hand blender so if I ever have any leftover bread from a loaf then I pop it in the blender and make breadcrumbs to use for things like chicken kievs and … [Read more...]
Soup Maker tips and tricks….
Today's post is all about me sharing my soup maker tips and tricks - read on if you want to make amazing (and cheap) soups!I've had my soupmaker now for a couple of years and it's definitely been one of my most used kitchen gadgets ever. Even though I don't have the latest or the fanciest model around, it does everything I need it to do and I've learned how to make super tasty soup *every time. (*By every time, I mean every time except for the time I tried to make tomato soup in there and the time that I tried to add pasta to the soup forgetting I'd set it to smooth blend mode … [Read more...]
Homemade DIY Exfoliating Salt Scrub….
I'm sharing my homemade DIY exfoliating salt scrub with you today and I think you're going to love it! I'm all about a good homemade sugar scrub usually but when I went to make a little batch over the weekend, I realised I didn't have much sugar in the house and I had to make a difficult choice between using the small amount of sugar we had in to make fruit cobbler or to make a sugar scrub. It was a hard decision to make as I do love a good sugar scrub but in the end, the cake won the battle and I ended up using the sugar for that. All wasn't lost though … [Read more...]

So far I've tried a two-ingredient slow cooker cake, an idea to customise candles with paper napkins and ideas to make my iPhone speaker louder - all of which have had varying degrees of success and are … [Read more...]
Free Printable Spring Wall Art….
This free printable Spring Wall Art is exactly what you need to brighten up your walls and your days!I really am one of those people whose mood can be lifted by surrounding myself with pretty things and motivational quotes so pretty motivational wall art is right up my street. I like to have a few of my favourite quotes and prints framed and placed around the house on a permanent basis but since I discovered washi tape, I also love to make and print out random quotes and prettiness to pop up on a more temporary basis. I currently have this one stuck up on the wall above my … [Read more...]
Jammy Thumbprint Cookies Recipe….
One of the first recipes that I ever shared on here (way back in 2009) was a recipe for Jammy Buns which are actually called Thumbprint Cookies but I renamed them for some reason. I have no idea what 2009 me was thinking but I'm 99% sure that despite the number of people who still end up on that page, no-one would ever look at this picture and think about making them....Honestly, the photo alone makes me die a little bit inside, never mind the rest of the post so I thought 2021 me would have a go at recreating my 'jammy buns' and you'll be relieved to know that I've learned a lot … [Read more...]
