This virtual scavenger hunt for kids is just what you need to help your children stay in touch with their friends during the madness that we're living in right now.I have two teenagers who are struggling with Lockdown 3.0 and they at least have a good understanding of why we're having to stay at home and not see our friends and family. I can't even imagine what it must be like for younger children who won't really understand the reasons behind it. My two are able to keep in touch with their friends on Snapchat, Instagram and on Xbox and genuinely, if they weren't able to do that … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) It's been way too long since I started one of these posts with a fresh flowers bargain, hasn't it?It's because I've not been going to the shops very much and when I do, it's on my way home from work to avoid an extra trip so I just haven't been about for the good flower bargains. These little beauties set me back a whole 30p this week … [Read more...]

No council tax this month or next?
Unless you opt to pay your council tax over twelve months rather than the usual ten, February and March are the months of the year when you don't have to pay. That means there's no council tax to pay this month or next month for many of us. What are you planning to use your 'free' council tax money for?I love the months where we don't pay council tax because the amount we pay seems ridiculously high - we actually pay £169 a month over the ten months which means that we have a nice little chunk of money to play with over the two months where we don't pay it.The … [Read more...]
Super Easy Waffle Recipe {Suitable for the oven or a wafflemaker}….
I don't think I've ever shared my super easy waffle recipe with you, have I? Waffles are perfect weekend for a weekend brunch but when I first got my waffle maker, lots of the recipes I could find online needed fancy ingredients like buttermilk (that's fancy to us 😂 ) which was never going to happen in this house. My super easy waffle recipe is pretty basic in comparison to many that you'll find online but to me, that's the beauty of it - it's so simple and uses things that most of us have in the house so you can just make it whenever you feel like … [Read more...]
