Last week, I asked if you were financially resilient and one of the things I mentioned was using sinking funds to save for some of your expenses which is something that I don't currently do. I wanted to tell you a bit more about them though so I asked the very lovely Steph from Debt Free Family to pop over and tell you how she uses sinking funds.Hello! I’m Steph and I blog over at Debt free family (https://debtfreefamily.co.uk) where I write about family finances, earning a bit more and spending a bit less! Instant Pot Tomato Sauce (with optional hidden veg)….
Instant Pot tomato sauce with hidden veg is your secret weapon when it comes to meal planning!I've shared my slow cooker tomato sauce recipe loads of times because it's been a key ingredient in so many of our meals since the first time I made it. It's versatile, easy to make and super cheap so I make it whenever I'm having a big batch cooking session and freeze it in different sized portions.I have some small-sized portions that I defrost when we need pizza toppings or as a topping for chicken (kind of like Hunters chicken) and larger-sized portions for things like pasta … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) There's been a dress that I've wanted from Laura Ashley for a good six months or so but I couldn't bear the thought of paying £70 for a dress so even though I wanted it, I left it on the rack every time I saw it. Anyway, last weekend, I walked past Laura Ashley and thought I'd just nip in on the off chance that the dress was in the sale and I … [Read more...]
How to make a workspace at home when you have no space…
Working from home isn't as easy as I thought it would be and I realised quite quickly that I needed my own little space to work from. The problem is that I had absolutely no space anywhere to fit one in. Working from home is something that I've had the luxury of being able to do for a while now, even before the start of Lockdown, but honestly, I much prefer working from the office than from home. I feel like I'm more productive in work and I do like being around people so I've pretty much worked from the office for most of the last few months. I've got no plans to start working from … [Read more...]
