How to say no at Christmas…
Today I'm sharing a few tips to help you decline Christmas party invites in a nice way without damaging your relationships with friends and family. If you're anything like me, the closer Christmas gets, the more invites start piling up for various different Christmas social events - there's the work Christmas party, the drinks after work with one group of friends, the night out in town with another group of friends, the meals out with friends you rarely see (sometimes with good reason) and even just the invites to pop round to friends and family's houses. Some I wouldn't miss for the … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things we did this week {29 November 2019}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. I thought I'd put that right today...Slow cooker mince beef and onions can be made into so many different meals - you can serve it with a jacket potato or some veg, with Yorkshire puddings, dumplings or roasties or make it into a pie with pastry or mash as a topping. It freezes so well that it's a perfect meal to batch cook and it's so easy to make that you can easily just throw it all in the slow … [Read more...]
This time last year…. LA, Beverly Hills and Hollywood….
Hmmm, posts about LA, Beverly Hills and Hollywood don't really belong on a blog about living a frugal lifestyle, do they?Up until recently, I did kind of agree with that sentiment so even though, we've had some AMAZING holidays over the last couple of years, I haven't really shared all that much on here with you. But, after my post earlier this month, I thought I'd share some photos from last year's trip to LA with you because it was a year ago today that Miss Frugal and I were enjoying the last day of our holiday of a lifetime.I feel like I can genuinely call it a holiday of … [Read more...]
