Do you want to know what my perfect morning would be?
It would be going downstairs on a morning when everyone else is still in bed, picking up a good book and having the chance to read it in peace while drinking my cup of tea and eating a bacon sandwich.
That sounds like absolute bliss to me and luckily for me with my lazy lot, it happens more often than it used to these days as ‘me time’ seems to get easier as they get older.
And to make my perfect morning even more perfect, I’ve just discovered Danepak’s Rapid Rashers which are cooked in the microwave in just 90 seconds so I can now make my bacon sandwich in the same time as it takes me to make my cuppa. Not only does this save me time, but it’s much easier to wash a plate than it is to wash the grill and the fact that I’m not grilling the bacon means that the house doesn’t smell of bacon which regularly tempts at least one child downstairs to ruin my peace and demand a bacon sandwich of their own.
And as if making bacon super quick to prepare wasn’t enough, they’ve only gone and sorted one of my biggest kitchen bugbears out – they’ve made their packs Reclosable!
If I want a bacon sandwich, I’ll use a couple of rashers out of a pack and then put the rest in the fridge but the packs I’ve always bought in the past have meant that if I do that, I have to wrap it myself because the pack wasn’t eeclosable. It’s not a huge thing I know but it does annoy me because I can reseal things like pasta which aren’t going to go off but I can’t reseal bacon which will.
I love the new Danepak advert – they really are serious about their bacon….
If you’re serious about your bacon then you really should have a look a the serious bacon club – on Facebook here and on YouTube here.
Now, I don’t want to end on a controversial note but…. I want to leave you with this:
Bacon sandwich + Brown Sauce = Perfection
Bacon Sandwich + Red sauce = Weird
