If you caught Sunday’s post then you’ll know that I’ve gone all old school this week and am blogging daily to share with you what I’ve been up to that day seeing as I have a week off work with LOTS of things on the t0-do list!
I now realised why I stopped this kind of blogging! 😂
I have pretty much nothing of interest to tell you today so I almost didn’t write a post but I promised myself that I’d go back to this style of blogging for just a week so that’s what I’m doing. I promise it’s only for a week though so don’t worry, normal service will be resumed shortly.
I don’t think I said why I’d decided to go back to old-style blogging this week but it’s basically because I sat down a couple of weeks ago and wrote down some of the things I wanted from my blog this year because, if I’m honest, I fell out of love a bit with the whole blogging world last year and it stopped being fun.
I barely blogged for most of last year and for most of that time, I didn’t miss it at all and genuinely considered whether it was for me any more. And then one day, I woke up and missed it so I opened my laptop, wrote a post that I enjoyed writing and I’ve been enjoying it again ever since.
When I sat down, I decided that I wanted to do a few things differently so I’m bringing back a few old-style posts (watch out for my monthly favourites next week as that’s the first one to return) and I wanted to do more of the DIYs that I love doing so you’ll see more of those too hopefully. I also realised that I missed the chatty style posts so that’s why I’m posting daily this week – for me more than you guys. 😂
I want to do more posts like this (not daily so don’t worry haha) so I’m trying to find my feed and decide how to do it. Is Instagram the place for daily chat now? I have no idea if I’m honest but I’m trying all sorts to find the best medium for what I want to do.
And now that I’ve written practically a whole post on why I wanted to write this post, I’ll get on with telling you what I’ve been up to…
First up, I made a batch of my Oreo Truffles and actually managed to get some photos taken of them so I can share them with you at some point.
Then I went through my phone and wrote a list of all the posts I wanted to write based on the photos I’ve taken over the last few months because even when I haven’t been sharing the things I’ve been doing and making, I still take photos of everything because it’s automatic to me after 10+ years of blogging.
I have everything from DIY beauty and cleaning posts to cooking and bargain shopping to share with you so I started by writing a list of what I have and then moved on to writing the posts. You’ll probably notice that the photos are a bit random and not necessarily what I would have taken if I’d made something specifically for the blog as I have in the past but they do the job.
I was absolutely on a roll today with the blogging and I’ve written five posts – super easy as I had the photos all ready to go – and I had so much fun just writing my favourite kinds of posts.
We didn’t stick to the meal plan for tea as it’s just me and Master Frugal tonight and we wanted something simple so we went old school with tea too and had Quorn chicken nuggets and potato criss crosses with a couple of Oreo Truffles each for pudding.
And finally, I signed up to www.daisycon.com to start sharing surveys with you guys!
And that concludes day six. 😂
I promise I’ll do more tomorrow and make it a more interesting post for you to read!
