Miss Frugal and I have decided to start a new family tradition – we’re going to have a girls only weekend away together every year and leave the men at home (preferably with a list of jobs to do by the time we get home). We did it last year and had a great time so we’re currently in the middle of planning our next trip.
Last year’s pictures – sorry about the pink, I was going through a pink phase I think 😉
She’s started planning it already in the special notebook she’s assigned to the task 😉
So far she’s decided that London is the best place for us to go and she has a list of things that she absolutely has to take to do on the train journey. She also has a list of requirements for the hotel including ‘not high’, ‘serves nice breakfast’ and ‘bouncy mattresses’. Funnily enough, when I Google that little lot, nothing comes up!
We did the usual sights last year as well as the Science Museum and the Natural History museum and although we had loads of fun, it felt like we were rushing from one place to another trying to fit it all in. This year, we’re going to do less and take the time to enjoy things more.
We might even have the time to see a few of the West End shows – something we didn’t do last year because of all the other things we could squeeze in to the same length of time as a show! I’m thinking something like Shrek or Matilda although I remember seeing Starlight Express when I was her age and would love to take her to see that if it’s still playing.
We also want to go back to Covent Garden for paella and make sure we have time for a leisurely picnic at the park.
Anything else we should be doing?
