It’s Saturday again and I’m joining in with the Saturday is caption Day linky over at Mammsaurus’ blog – you know the score by now, I give you a picture and you give me a clever caption to go with it.
Today’s picture is brought to you in conjunction with a very valuable parenting lesson about chocolate parties, trust me, you will thank me for this at some point in the future!
Just in case you’ve ever wondered what a chocolate party is, it’s a party that sounds like it could be fun. Even the note on the invite to tell you to dress your children in their old clothes won’t bother you because the words chocolate and party conjure up a happy picture. What could be wrong with a chocolate party?
As you would expect, the only food allowed is chocolate – chocolate spread sandwiches, chocolate cake, chocolate biscuits and plain old chocolate and the drink of choice is, as you’d expect, chocolate milkshake.
The party games are a little different to usual and involve eating chocolate and passing sticky chocolatey cakes down a line without using your hands along with drawing pictures using melted chocolate. Even the normal games like musical chairs involve a sticky chocolatey forfeit for the losers (and the winners for that matter).
The highlight of the party is when everyone gets to lay down on the floor with their eyes closed and get painted with melted chocolate – lots of it. The lucky ones even get a squirt of chocolate squirty cream in their mouth!
Then when everyone is hot, very sticky and feeling more than a little sick, the party ends and the parents arrive to collect their children and take them home where they will proceed to moan all night that they feel sick, or whinge because they got chocolate in their eye/ear/nose. They will be too tired to want to go in the bath and will probably cry when you have to help them scrub the chocolate from bits you would not have expected it to go!
The moral of this story is that if your children are ever invented to a chocolate party – DO NOT LET THEM GO 😉
So now I’ve shared my top parenting tip of the week with you, here’s my Saturday is Caption Day photo….
Over to you then, what’s the best caption you can think of for this one….
