Like most of you probably do, I try and budget some extra money for the Summer Holidays so we can have a few ‘big’ family days out as well as all of the free and cheaper days that we try and do together. This week’s #SaveMoneyMonday is a quick reminder about saving money on days out so you can have more days out for your money!
I’ve got lots of ideas on how to save money on days out in this post so it’s definitely worth checking out before you go anywhere but the main reason for this post is because last week Miss Frugal was invited to Lightwater Valley by some of her friends. At £20 plus spending money, it was looking to work out quite expensive for just her to have a day out but then my friend reminded me about Tesco vouchers which for some reason I hadn’t considered – maybe because it was just her going.
Anyway, I checked my Tesco Clubcard account and found that I had £5.50 worth of vouchers which was great as I only needed £5.00 worth of vouchers as every to boost up to £20 which covered the entrance fee for her. I ordered the vouchers on Monday and they came on Friday, ready for her visit today!
So today’s #SaveMoneyMonday quick tip is check your Tesco Clubcard balance and make the most of the points you have! And while you’re at it, check your Nectar card as they have a similar offer where you can double your points for days out vouchers.
Don’t forget to pop back on Mondays for more #SaveMoneyMonday tips.
In case you don’t know about #SaveMoneyMonday, it’s a day where I usually feature one small way to save money in some form or another whether it’s a freebie, a money saving top tip or a way to make some money. There are so many little ways to save money that you probably know about already but either don’t do for some reason or have forgotten about so I’m going to remind you! 😉
