Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.Before I start though, I do want to say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons - we're frugal so we can afford to do nice things together.1) It's been an awful, awful last four weeks with my … [Read more...]

A Perfect Weekend…. {Part 2}
So, earlier this week I told you about the start of my lovely weekend away last weekend and today, I'm going to tell you about the main event - the blogging retreat that was hosted by the amazing Tots100 team.I'm naturally quite shy and because of that, I generally avoid these types of events but after loving last year's UK Money Bloggers conference as much as I did, I decided that leaving my comfort zone every now and again was a good thing. Mr Frugal treated me to the weekend as part of my Christmas present and ever since I found out I was going I've been torn between excitement at … [Read more...]

In the end, after some convincing from my lovely little family, I went the other way completely and booked an extra night away at the … [Read more...]
That was…. March!
How is it the last day of March already?At the end of last year, I decided that it would be a nice idea to do a post once a month giving you a bit of an update on our lives. I was looking forward to this month as we had so much planned but unfortunately it didn't really go according to plan.I'll get the nice news out of the way first....We started the month under attack from the #BeastfromtheEast which meant that the kids had four days off school and I had three days of working from home. Obviously, this was the best thing ever as far as they were concerned - or at least it … [Read more...]
Bloggers: How to upgrade your Camera Equipment without paying a fortune….
My love of photography started not long after I began blogging and even though I still haven't found the time to actually get good at taking photos, the equipment that I've been lucky enough to use over the years has given me a cheeky head start. Today I'm going to tell you about a discovery I made that's going to help you upgrade your camera equipment without paying a fortune!This is the point where I should tell you that this is not a sponsored post or even a review commissioned by the company I'm going to tell you about - they were genuinely recommended by a friend and I was over … [Read more...]
