The last month has seen a huge change in Miss Frugal, as she finds her feet in Secondary school she is making lots of new friends and wants to spend lots of time on a night face-timing and texting them all. As she went to a new school in September knowing no-one, I’m embracing this as meaning that she is settling in well rather than being sad that she spends less time with me on a night.
This does mean that she hasn’t had as much time as usual to spend with Master Frugal and he’s found that difficult to cope with and seems to be missing not only her company at school but also her presence at school. I’m trying to encourage them to spend time together without forcing the issue and I’ve got a few ideas for things that they can do together to try in the next couple of weeks!
