OK, you’re going to need to bear with me on this one because I absolutely know that a Slimming World Meatzza (which is essentially a pizza with a meat base rather than the usual dough base) doesn’t necessarily sound the most appetizing meal in the world.
Stay with me though because I made this last weekend and honestly, it was a huge success and even the kids enjoyed it which means it’s a great family meal and not just a Slimming World meal. I add in lots of veggies to the base and as for the topping, that can be pretty much anything you want it to be just like a normal pizza.
In case you’re wondering what a Meatzza actually is, it’s basically a pizza but with a meat crust as the base instead of a doughy base which makes it so much better for you! This Slimming World Meatzza is perfect if you’re on Slimming World but equally amazing if you’re not!

Fakeaway Slimming World Meatzza....
This Meatzza is an amazing twist on a normal pizza - all the taste of a pizza without the doughy base which makes it absolutely free if you're on Slimming World.*
*As long as you use the cheese as a Healthy Extra A
Ingredients
- 500g lean mince (5% or less fat) - I used pork mince
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 small carrot
- 1 small courgette
- 1 tablespoon Worcester sauce
- 1 teaspoon of dried chilli flakes
- 1 medium egg
- 1 tablespoon of tomato puree per meatzza
- 1 portion of HEA cheese per meatzza - I use 50g mozzarella usually but this batch has 40g reduced-fat cheddar
- Tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, sweetcorn, pineapple - whatever you fancy as a topping.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200 c.
- Using a food processor, finely chop the carrot, onion and courgette and add them to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the mince, garlic, chilli, Worcester sauce and egg to the bowl and season well.
- Mix it all together until everything is well combined.
- Divide into portions ready to make your pizza bases. Mine usually makes three portions based on the size of the tray I cook them in. I use a set of glass pyrex pie dishes because I like the way I can flatten the mix down and keep it in a neat and tidy round shape too.
- Spray each of your containers with Frylight and squish your mixture down into the base as flat as you can. You can see from the pictures above this recipe what mine looked like.
- Pop them in the oven until the base is completely cooked through. Usually for about 15 minutes.
- When they're cooked, I like to let mine cool. I actually usually make the bases on a Sunday when I'm cooking something else and leave them in the fridge until Monday tea time when I'll get them out and turn them into Meatzzas.
- When you're ready to make your Meatzza, add your tomato puree to the top along with any toppings you're adding on.
- Top with cheese and then pop in the oven until the cheese is melted and golden and the base is heated through properly. This is usually about 10-12 minutes for me.
- Serve with Salad or Pizza chips
Notes
This Meatzza is so tasty and filled with speed veg so it's a great way to satisfy your pizza cravings in a healthier way!
