Slimming World Pizza Chips are literally life-changing if you’re on Slimming World and you like a cheeky treat like me!
This recipe is pretty vague for a couple of reasons – the main one being that no-one likes the same flavour pizza! The beauty of this amazing meal is that you can use whatever you fancy as a topping for your ‘pizza’. Even pineapple, if you’re that way inclined. 😉
Another reason, I’m not going to be specific is that this is a great way to use up your leftovers. Mine had some leftover shredded chicken, the last of the gammon from the day before and some sad looking mushrooms among other things.
How to make Slimming World Pizza Chips
First up, you need to make your Slimming World chips which, full disclosure here, I make from ready peeled, ready sliced potatoes that I buy from Tesco. They’re about £1.25 and save me so much time and effort that I feel like they’re worth buying.
I try and buy the skinny fries so I can skip the par-boil stage and just go straight to the cover them in frylight and pop them in the oven stage!
Mix a couple of tablespoons of tomato puree with a tablespoon of water and then, just before your chips are cooked, take them out of the oven and spread over the top of your chips.
Try and spread it as evenly as possible – not like my splodging effort here!
Next, add your toppings – I used chicken, gammon, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, some chopped spring onion and some chopped garlic.
On top of that goes your cheese which I always use as my Healthy Extra A so I don’t have to add any syns in for it.
Pop your freshly topped chips back in the oven until the toppings are cooked through and the cheese is melted and starting to get that lovely golden colour.
They taste even better than they look and you’d never believe that something that looks this good is absolutely FREE on Slimming World (as long as you use your cheese as your HEA).
