We’re a bit short on Christmas spirit over here at the moment so if you have any spare, we’d be grateful if you could send us some….
The kids have been ill on and off for almost two weeks now, I’m exhausted because they’re not sleeping properly and Mr Frugal is working really long hours in the run up to Christmas so he’s shattered as well. As you’ve probably gathered, we’re all feeling a bit sorry for ourselves at the moment.
On the plus side, things are starting to look up a bit, the kids seem to be a lot brighter today and tomorrow is Mr Frugal’s last day at work so we’ve decided to make a big effort to kick off our Christmas festivities. First on the list for ‘Operation Festive Fun’ is Snowman Soup.
All you have to do is Google Snowman Soup and you’ll find hundreds of different ways to make it but for our version we make some hot chocolate in a Christmassy mug, we add a few mini marshmallows and some M&M’s if we have them, then we stir it all together with a candy cane (or a chocolate spoon if you’re really posh lol) and there you have it – Snowman Soup. Perfect to warm you up in this awful weather.
Last year we made Snowman Soup sets, like the one above, as gifts for a couple of our friend’s children and they went down a treat. We added a chocolate spoon, a special Snowman Soup gift tag that we found here and wrapped them in cellophane and they looked brilliant. I did actually see some Christmassy mugs reduced to 50p in Morrisons the other day pop into town tomorrow after work and buy some to make some more if I get chance.
BTW – if you want to see a much more professional version of Snowman Soup, I found one here.
Enjoy 😉
