I realised a while ago that I really missed the personal side of blogging, the posts where I literally just used to sit down and tell you what we’ve been up to so (and I have no idea if this is going to work) I thought we’d try something new. 😂.
I thought I’d sit down on a Sunday morning and have a bit of a catch up – what’s happened that week, anything exciting coming up and maybe even a quick round-up of blog posts from my other blogs.
I have no idea if I have an interesting enough life to make every week worth reading but let’s see, shall we?
If you saw my last week’s post, you’ll have seen that Miss Frugal passed her driving theory test but we were struggling to book a practical test due to all the demand. The earliest we could find was in December in a test centre over an hour ago so we left it and decided to just keep checking throughout the week. We’ve now managed to book her a test for September which is better than December but still ages away when she’s really ready now so we’re going to keep checking for cancellations.
We’re getting in so much practice at the moment knowing that we could get a cancellation at any point and this week we were out in a bit of a storm with some thunder and lightning and a LOT of rain. There was the most amazing rainbow at one point and because we were just literally driving around we decided to go find the end of the rainbow. 🌈
We found it in a field – if you look closely at the photo below you can see where the prism of the rainbow hits the ground and you know what? There was no pot of gold in sight!
It looked way more impressive in person!
I also spent some time in the storm with Master Frugal who is the same as me and loves to be out at the beach in the rain. We got ourselves well wrapped up and managed a half an hour walk on the beach with the rain pouring down. I have some photos of me looking like a drowned rat which are definitely not fit to be shared anywhere but make me smile when I spot them in my camera roll!
Last week, I was super pleased that I’d lost 3lbs but this week, I’ve put it back on again somehow even though I’ve been good all week – I’ve eaten well and been on my exercise bike. In the past, I’d be really fed up but I can tell by the way my clothes are fitting that I’m doing well so even though the scales are saying otherwise, I’m ignoring them for this week.
I have ordered a dress from Vinted in the next size down that I want to fit into for a wedding in a couple of months so that’s going to hang on the back of my bedroom door as motivation until it fits me!
I’m going to add a quick round-up of the posts I’ve shared across each of my blogs at the end of this post every week because I’m hoping to get more of a routine of posting on them again. I just need to be more organised and spend less time on Instagram and Tik Tok. 😇
This week’s meal plan

I love my little travel blog but there’s been a distinct lack of travel lately which has meant I don’t have too much to post about on there at the moment.
Sunday Snapshot – Cafe De Paris
There’s very little going on over on my Christmas blog at the moment but I am starting to think about doing a weekly or fortnightly post on there to try and build up the posts on there ready for this year’s festive season.
What’s your Christmas budget?
And the newest addition to my little blog family is my little work in progress all about how you can make money from blogging – whether you’re new to blogging or just ready to turn a hobby into an income.
There’s a post planned for later on today on Make Money from Blogging but until that goes live, there’s just the first three posts that I shared last week to have a look through.
So, you want to make money from blogging?
What should I blog about?

So that pretty much sums up everything I wanted to share this week – I hope you all have a fab week and look forward to catching up at the same time next week!
