Today was the first day back at school for my two and I was a bit gutted because I had to be at work for 8am this morning, I left strict instructions with Mr Frugal to make sure he took the customary back to school photo and e mail it to me at work so I could have a proud mummy moment. Learning to Learn….
It's so hard not to compare your children. Miss Frugal was so eager to learn and Master Frugal has, up until recently, shown no interest at all in learning to write. I'm not worried too much as he's only just turned five but I have been a bit stuck for ideas on what I could do to help him learn. All of a sudden it seems to have clicked a bit for him. Struggling at School….
As a parent, the one thing that I want is for my children to be happy. Which is why I am really upset that Master Frugal is having problems settling in at school, his teacher had a word with me on Monday and said that he had had a few tears at school that day for apparently no reason. The same happened again yesterday. I have asked him about it and he just said he was lonely and missed me! Recipe for Cheese Straws
I have made a small batch of cheese straws now and the kids are in the middle of eating their second one so I am guessing that they are a success and that I need to make a bigger batch to freeze for school dinners.
