It's Miss Frugal's ninth birthday next month and she's started making plans for her party already. In fact, she has a birthday party notebook (any excuse for stationery in this house) detailing her plans for the event of the year and I was just reading out her demands requests to my dad over the phone when he reminded me of one of my birthday parties when I was around the same age. Party Politics….
It's OK this isn't a political post really, although I would like to say thank you to our local Labour candidate who nearly ran me off the road on Thursday when he was concentrating more on his loundspeaker thing than his driving! Birthday Memories….
I can't believe Master Frugal is six this month, it only seems like yesterday that I was strapping him into his car seat ready to bring him home from hospital and now he's diving in the car with his DSi in one hand and his Ben 10 alien in the other!Like any typical six year old, he's got high hopes for his birthday and can't decide whether to have a party at the Wacky Warehouse for 20 friends (yeay) or one at home for six friends (double yeay). The Secret to a Successful Birthday Party….
Well, I don't really have the secret to a successful party but I am feeling pretty pleased with myself after the success of Miss Frugal's 8th Birthday pamper party this afternoon. All seven girls who were invited turned up (I always worry everyone will forget) and we were having that much fun that the two hours flew by. Happy Birthday Baby Boy….
I know, he's not really a baby anymore, even though the first thing he said this morning was 'Am I still your baby Mammy, even though I'm five?' But he still feels like my baby and I can't believe he's five already.We had a fantastic birthday party for him tonight and he's now in bed absolutely worn out.
