I love my house, probably more than you should love a house but there you go. I think it's because I hated my last house, I won't go into the details but to cut a long story short we had nothing but bad luck the whole time we lived there! When I finally convinced Master Frugal to move (after only a two years in our last house and in a very poor housing market) we looked at loads of houses but couldn't find 'The One', although we found plenty that came close. Clutter Cupboard….
Does anyone else have a clutter cupboard like mine:I know its not a cupboard, it's a bookshelf but 'Clutter Bookshelf' doesn't sound as catchy does it?My clutter 'cupboard' is right by the door in our living room and is used as a dumping ground for everything. I considered getting rid of it but the room has no other storage and things would only get left on the floor if we didn't have it. Budget Bedroom….
I have finished Miss Frugal's bedroom now and I am so pleased with how its turned out, my main concern about living frugally was that I didn't want the kids to miss out. If anything the decision to change the way that we lived was more to do with freeing up more money and time to do things with the kids.The room is very girly and is probably to pink and princessy for most people's taste but for a six year old girl, it's 'absolutely awesome' which she assures me is as good as it gets....The bed was a complete bargain (see here) but didn't come with the drapes so I went to our local fabric store … [Read more...]
