This is my menu plan for the week. I usually do my weeks plan on a Friday ready for shopping on a Saturday but I am a bit late this week as we have had a houseguest staying with us this week. I try and get Miss Frugal to do it with me to help her with her writing and to have fun in the kitchen with her as I really want to encourage her to learn to cook and to enjoy being in the kitchen with me. Baking Day….
Well its absolutely pouring down here this morning so we are going to bake some biscuits and cakes. Yorkshire Puddings….
Sunday Dinner wouldn't be Sunday Dinner without Yorkshire puds but no matter what I try I can't seem to get those huge yummy looking ones that you see on the TV!The recipe that I use is 100g of plain flour, 1/2 pint milk and 2 eggs. I heat the oven to the hottest temperature and then preheat the oil in my pudding tins. I do everything that the TV chef's say but.....They just don't work out right. Recipe of the week – Magic Mince
I love magic mince, you can make a huge batch and then bung it in the freezer until you are ready to use it.
