One of the things I often mention in my suggestions for something to do with the kids is to go on a photo walk with them but I don’t think I’ve ever actually shared the photos that we’ve taken on one of our walks with you.
I got a new camera recently and today was the first time we’ve been on a photo walk using this one so I thought it might be a good time to share the photos we took with you.
Considering these pictures have all been taken by Master Frugal who picked up my lovely little Olympus Pen camera for the first time this morning, I think they’re amazing! He’s using the Kit lens that came with the camera and has it on the Auto setting so isn’t doing a thing other than press the button to take the photo when he sees something that interests him.
(I’ve cropped a couple but that’s the only editing I’ve done – speaking of cropping photos, have you seen the new Picmonkey photo editing app? It’s amazing!)
He was fascinated by the fact that these pretty daisies had an ugly cigarette butt just carelessly thrown down next to them.
These are my favourite photos from today’s walk and they’re all of things that I probably wouldn’t have stopped to photograph personally. I’m more of a people photographer and have a phone full of photos of my family and friends whereas Master Frugal clearly captures nature so much better than I do.
What do you think your child would capture on a photo walk?
